Jazz Fest Presents: Graham Ord's Inside / Outside Quartet June 6
In the words of Graham Ord: "In the jazz idiom terms like inside and outside refer to the adherence to the chordal harmony (inside) or not (outside). Since this group has no chordal instrument the chord changes are implied by the collective harmonies created between the bass, sax and trumpet. Graham Ord, Heather Anderson, Mike Agranovich and Bernie Arai are all comfortable playing spontaneously so expect the unexpected." Perhaps surprise appearance by Anna Lumiere

This Flight Tonight (Nazareth Tribute) June 20
Nazareth, formed in Scotland in the late 1960s, carved out a legendary place in rock history with their gritty sound, powerful vocals, and unforgettable anthems. Rising to international acclaim in the 1970s, Nazareth earned a loyal following across the globe, with Canada being one of their strongest markets. Their chart-topping hit Love Hurts became a staple of rock radio, and tracks like Razamanaz and This Flight Tonight showcased Nazareth’s raw energy and unique style, cementing their reputation as one of hard rock’s most influential bands.
Carrying that torch forward with passion and precision is This Flight Tonight – The Nazareth Experience, Vancouver’s own Nazareth tribute band. Featuring members of original rock band Mad Symphony, the group delivers all the fire and authenticity of the original. Frontman Kevin Wright channels the unmistakable raunchy vocals of Dan McCafferty, while guitarist Dave Groves captures the distinctive slide guitar tones of Manny Charlton with stunning accuracy. Rounding out the lineup are Amrit Prasad on bass, Ted Tosoff on guitars, and powerhouse drummer Ray Hartmann of Annihilator fame. Together, they bring Nazareth’s classic hits—Razamanaz, Love Hurts, This Flight Tonight, and more—to life on stage.
Come experience the grit, the power, and the passion—come be Razamanazzed by This Flight Tonight – The Nazareth Experience.
